    Class Motto

Do it.
Do it right.
Do it right now.

.
WORK

I’m here to introduce you to math concepts and then give you enough time and work to master them.
There is no substitute for doing the work. If doing the work wasn’t the best and only way, I’d surely
  find an easier route.

CLASS MATES

You are not alone in my class. I encourage you to work in groups on homework assignments. The
power of having a second pair of eyes watching for mistakes can not be denied. Also, having
someone to take breaks with between problem sets makes the experience much more enjoyable.

.
SUBMISSIONS

I get hundreds of submissions weekly. I can not prepare great lessons while decoding hundreds
of unique assignments. Therefore, your submissions will have a uniform appearance. Consult
the giant poster in my room if you need a reminder.

  • (FirstName) (LastName) in the upper right hand corner.
  • Underlined Title centered under the top margin.
  • Score in a box in green ink centered in the top margin.
.
ABSENCE

Field trip?      Performance?      Competition?      Vacation?

I do not excuse any student from any assignment or test for any reason!
      Here are my suggestions:
  • Have a classmate bring your homework to class and grade it for you.
  • Come in the before you miss and take your test.
  • Handle your responsibilities before you are gone so you don't have to think about this class on your break!
If you don’t take care of it ahead of time, you get a zero. Yes, this includes band trips, choir trips, drama productions, sports competitions, vacations, being checked out, being tardy, alien abduction, shark attacks, getting Rick-rolled, etc.
Work missed due to illness will be due on the day you return to school. This includes any work that was assigned on days you missed. If your parent/guardian would like to have an exception made before you miss, you may bring them Friday after school to make arrangements.
.
A-Team

I want my students to be the best, and I'm not afraid to encourage achievement!

Students with an 'A' in my class have the following perks:
  • Slightly fewer homework problems in each homework set
  • Open use of hall pass
  • Choice of seat in classroom
  • Any other perk that I deem reasonable and appropriate
