Kristen Mella chosen by Mr. Robert Steele.
Ceramics: Our Ceramics students helped the Food and Care Coalition homeless shelter raise $7,000 at the Bowls for Humanity event! Orem High had a sweep of the student awards with Nicole Graham winning "Staff Choice", Kyle Stimson winning "Most Creative Work" and Ian Groesbeck winning an Honorable Mention. Congratulations Ceramics students for a job well done!
Hygiene Kit Donation Drive:
The Life Skills Class is collecting hygiene items for Humanitarian Aid hygiene kits. Items needed: unbreakable combs (no sharp handles), toothbrushes (packaged), bars of soap (about 4 to 5 oz.), hand towels (new, about 15" by 25", bath towels not kitchen towels.). They will be collecting items until March 26th. Please bring them to room A-22.
Student Government Cabinet Packets:
These are in the front office. They are due this week, Wed.. March 10th.
Orem High Cheerleading Try Outs:
For all of those interested in trying out for cheerleader, there is an important try out information meeting next Monday, March 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the OHS Cafeteria. For more information please pick up a flyer in the office.
ACT Prep Course:
The ACT Prep Course for the April Test will begin next Tuesday, March 9th at 2:30 p.m. in room C-15. Sign up with Mrs. Jackson in the Financial Office.
Students: Angie Williams (Admissions Advisor) from Dixie State College is scheduled to come and do a school visit to help students get familiar with Dixie today, Tuesday, March 9th during lunch.

Congratulations to Shalise Fage:
She will be representing OHS at the Poetry Out Loud competition at the state level on Thursday, March 11th. Shalise will be competing with the best the state has to offer. The winner goes to Washington D.C. where they will compete for $25,000.00!!! Good Luck Shalise!
Junior Boys: If you are interested in learning about functions of government and our judicial system go to the counseling office and pick up an application. This individual will spend June 7th thru June 11th at Weber State University. This student will earn 3 college credits and be able to apply for scholarships. Last year students were awarded $320,000 in various scholarships. The application deadline is April 1st. This is for as many boys who would like to go.
Argus: The deadline for submissions to the Argus has been extended to this Friday, March 12th at 5 p.m. For more information, talk to Mr. Replogle in E-26.
