Introduction and Summary
ASD offers an innovative program designed to help students accelerate or remediate credits toward graduation by extending the school year through June and July. During the summer of 2011, students earned over 2,000 quarter hours. The Board of Education has made this program a priority, and is pleased with the results.
Extended year high school programs are offered at Mountain View High School and Lehi High School. Two terms are offered to allow students throughout the district (those enrolled in ninth through eleventh grade during the 2011-2012 school year) the opportunity to earn recovery and/or accelerated credit.
The first session runs from June 7-27 and the second session is June 28-July 19 (with July 4 off due to the Independence Day holiday).
There is a minimal $25 fee per class. To view a course schedule at either Lehi High School or Mountain View High School please select one of the links below.

Attendance
Students are required to attend all 15 sessions of each summer school class. One make-up day is provided.
Drivers Education
Driver's Education courses offered through the Extended School Year program are for students who are taking at least one other course in Extended School Year. Each Alpine District traditional high school offers Driver's Ed courses separate from the ESY program. Contact your high school for dates and details.
The ESY Driver's Ed course will cover the required classroom work required by the State of Utah. Road and range driving experiences will need to be scheduled through the Driver's Education instructors at the student's home school.
