Students: We are passed mid-term and there are only 15 ARCs left for 3rd term. We will not be adding additional sessions at the end of the term so please get your ARCs made up as soon as possible.
Student Council Packets:
These will be available on February 28th. There will also be a mandatory student council meeting at 7:00 p.m. that night.
Boy’s State Basketball Game:
The Spirit bus tickets are on sale for next Monday’s State Game. It is $10.00 for shirt, bus ride and admission. Pay at the finance office.
Baseball: There is a mandatory meeting for all boys interested in trying out for Orem High Baseball, tomorrow, Thursday, February 23rd, at 2:20 p.m. in Coach Reed’s room - 2108. Information for the tryouts will be given at that time.

Softball Tryouts:
This will be held MONDAY FEB 27th at 2:30pm. Please listen for announcements for location depending on weather. If any girl is interested in trying out they must pick up a tryout checklist and print their current grades before they show up for tryouts. Bring all equipment that you need and indoor and outdoor clothes and shoes. Any questions ask Coach Barney.
Attention: All athletes trying out for Boys Soccer, Boys Tennis, Girls Golf, Baseball, Softball or Track and Field -There is a mandatory meeting in the little theatre today, Wednesday during regular lunch. If you want to try out, you must attend this meeting!
Interested in Girl's Golf?
Tryouts are next Tuesday, February 28th. Anyone interested needs to come to the mandatory meeting this Thursday, February 23rd in the A-gym during regular lunch. If you have any questions, contact Kim Nyhus or Mr. Sheide.
Juniors: If you were unable to sign up for Mythology at registration two new sections have been opened during A-4. See your counselor to sign up and may the Gods be with you.
All Math Club Members:
We have a mandatory meeting in Mr. Coxson's room right after school tomorrow, Thursday, February 23rd. Make sure you are there.

Attention: All those who would like to get a drivers license.
Two drivers education classes will start in March, one before school and one after school. The morning class begins March 5, and is held Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. in Mr. Steele’s classroom, room #1209. The afternoon class begins March 6, and is held Tuesday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Mr. Downs’s classroom, room #2207. The course runs for approximately five weeks and it is recommended that you have your learner’s permit before the course begins. You need to sign up and pay your fee of $135.00 to the accounting office before the first day of class. If you have any questions, see Mr. Steele or Mr. Downs.
Keys To Success Scholarships:
There are four scholarships being offered to our students -
UVU is offering $1,000 plus UCCU is matching that amount of $1,000 so the total scholarship is $2,000.
Bill J. Pope is offering $1,000 Scholarship.
Vivint is offering $1,000 Scholarship.
Paul Mitchell the School Salt Lake City is offering $1,000 Scholarship.
All scholarships are due by March 15th!
One requirement is that you must have been given a key card or order to apply, if you don’t have one ask your teachers how you can get a card. For more information including other requirements to apply see the posters up around school or come by the copy center. You may pick up an application at the counseling office or at the copy center.
Students: Do you like taking pictures? Do you like going to school events? Join the 2012 - 2013 Yearbook Staff. See Miss Tuttle in room 1003 for an application.
Juniors: Any Juniors who are interested in participating in this year's Girl's State or Boy's State programs please see Mr. Kenley in the counseling office for applications. Applications for Girl's State are due March 15th and applications for Boy's State are due April 1st, so do not wait.
My Favorite Teacher Contest:
Submit an essay, poem, or letter describing how a teacher has influenced your life and he/she will be entered to win. Grand Prize is $10,000. ($5,000 for your teacher and $5,000 for his/her school). Go to the main office for an entry form and official contest rules or go on line to www.bn.com/myfavoriteteacher. Deadline for submissions is March 1st.
