Utah Mentor - a useful guide for making decisions about colleges and careers and how to find financial aid to help you reach your goals

The Common Application - a not-for-profit membership organization that has been committed to providing reliable services that promote equity, access, and integrity in the college application process. We serve students, member institutions, and secondary schools by providing applications - online and in print - that students and school officials may submit to any of our more than 450 member institutions.


MatchCollege.com - Search through our site to find the school that is right for you. We have over 6,000 colleges and universities listed, providing information on housing, financial aid, tuition, admissions, athletics, current events and more... Schools can be filtered by state, city and type of degrees offered.

College Board - these are the people that bring us the SAT college entrance exam as well as the Advanced Placement (AP) program. They have a lot of information about what it means to be prepared for college and how you can get there.

ACT - the people you right and score the ACT test offer a lot of information about the test, how to prepare for taking the test, including practice tests in all content areas and much more. This is definitely worth a look before you take the exam.

Virginia Tech Study Skills Site - the people at Virginia Tech have compiled a large amount of resources to help you sharpen your study skills and teach you how to get them most out of your study time.

College Answer - you will find helpful resources to help you think through all the factors that go in to preparing, choosing and paying for your college education, this site is brought to you by Sallie Mae which provides student loans to college bound students.

Off to College - contains a large amount of planning guides and tips, including forms to help you know what schools offer degrees in your area of interest.

Vocational Info Center College & Career Planning Resources - you'll find a huge list of links to college and career planning from general information to specific areas of interest.

Utah Futures Website - Career information website.

Career One Stop - sponsored by the US Division of Labor, the site has information on exploring information on many types of careers, where to get the necessary education and skills. The site ceased operations so some information is out dated but the tools provided are useful.

Mapping Your Future - a free resource for career, college, financial aid, and money management information. Our goal is to help individuals achieve life-long success by empowering students, families, and schools with web-based information and services.

My Future - career, college and military options are explored, giving users a chance to explore different pathways to their final goals.

O*Net - created by the US Division of Labor, O*Net offers a huge database of different occupations with their required skills and abilities. Explore the occupations that interest you or find something you've never thought of.

Occupational Outlook Handbook - published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the handbook lets you find the training and education needed, earnings potential, expected job opportunities, expected tasks for the occupation and typical working conditions for any occupation you may be interested in.
